Description
The Pipe Dreams Mushroom Pipe in red is a 4.5-inch silicone pipe with a glass bowl, styled as a red-capped mushroom. Pipe Dreams, the Brooklyn accessories brand built around design-minded smokers, describes it simply: this baby is unbreakable; if you drop it, it just bounces. The glass bowl keeps the flavor honest while the flexible silicone body takes the abuse of a bag, a beach day or a night out. Pop the bowl out to clean it, wipe down the silicone, and it is ready again. It comes in several colors; this is the classic red.
- Material: Silicone body, glass bowl
- Color: Red
- Length: 4.5 inches
- Brand: Pipe Dreams, Brooklyn, NY
Remove the glass bowl before washing; the silicone body can be rinsed under warm water, while the bowl does better with a short soak in isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt.
FAQ
Questions About This Product
The bowl is glass and the body is silicone. You smoke from glass, which keeps the taste clean, while the silicone exterior is what makes the pipe bounce instead of shatter.
Pull the glass bowl out and soak it in isopropyl alcohol with a little coarse salt. Rinse the silicone body with warm soapy water; avoid leaving silicone in alcohol for long periods.
Silicone pipes are widely sold for this purpose and the flame never touches the silicone here, since the bowl is glass. Keep lighters away from the silicone body itself to avoid scorching.
About 4.5 inches long, roughly the size of a standard spoon pipe, so it fits a pocket or small bag easily.
